Mother of Soldier Killed in Iraq by U.S. Cluster Bomb Calls on Senate to Act
Lynn Bradach, the mother of a U.S. marine who was killed in Iraq by a U.S. cluster bomb, asked Congress today to honor the memory of her son by passing a ban on the weapon that killed him.

Victim Assistance
The new Cluster Munitions Convention is the first arms treaty that recognizes the human rights of victims of the weapon being banned.  Article 5 of the treaty sets a new humanitarian standard, building on provisions of the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty, which was the first disarmament agreement to include victim assistance language.
